Welcome

My name is Eleni Chaidou. I'm a psychologist and systemic psychotherapist, specialising in addiction.

I named my psychotherapy practice "sympraxis", and it is built around meeting one another: a space where we can take time with whatever is on our minds, explore the relationships and patterns that shape our experience, and look for new possibilities.

One cannot not communicate.

The space

Sympraxis

syn (with, together) + prátto (to act)

A psychotherapy space built around meeting one another.

Each of us is part of a web of relationships, stories, experiences and meanings, and that web shapes the stories we tell about our lives.

Therapy is not a solitary journey; it is a sympraxis, something we do together.

Here, "syn" stands for relationship, connection, coexistence and collaboration, and "prátto" stands for movement, change and taking an active part in creating a different reality.

Change can come from meeting one another. When people meet, familiar stories can be told again, seen from a different angle, and open up new possibilities. Sympraxis doesn't offer ready-made answers; it makes room for new stories to emerge.

The approach

What is systemic psychotherapy?

Systemic psychotherapy sees each person within the context of their relationships: family, partner, work, friends. Rather than looking for someone to blame, it looks for patterns that repeat and for new possibilities for change.

Even when you come on your own, the relationships and stories you carry are part of the therapeutic conversation.
